Grand Design Imagine Travel Trailer reviews

The Imagine 2600RB is an excellent travel trailer, especially for someone relatively new to the RV lifestyle. It is big enough for comfortable camping/living yet easy to tow and maneuver on the road and in campsites. The heating/air conditioner system works very, even during an intense summer heat wave in Arizona. The master bedroom is roomy and cozy and has storage under the bed. The living area sofa folds out into a bed and the dinette can also be converted to a bed. There is plenty of interior storage space. The kitchen is compact and functional. The tankless hot water heater provides near-instant hot water. The pass-through storage is large enough to hold trailer accessories, camping equipment and other gear. The 2600RB uses two gray water tanks and one black water tank. Show less

We purchased this in August of 2022,absolutely love it except for the very inadequate schwintek slide system. Nothing but ongoing issues after about 3 months. Setember 2023 we finally decided to bite the bullet and replaced it with the much better designed Vroom system. Now enjoying our TT with no more worries about if the slide will extend and retract. Bought my trailer new in 2023. Since then it has been in the shop for almost 7 months, and now they want me to come pick it up without a clear expectation of when the work is to be done to start fixing the cabinet thermofoil problem. All the thermofoil on the cabinet stiles are delaminating and GD and the manufacturer of the stiles are debating who’s at fault. I don’t care who’s fault it is as my warranty is through GD not their subcontractors. They claim on their website that warranty approval is completed within 24 hours. . . . really? Where is my customer service? Furthermore, I’ve been told the trailer may have to go back to the factory for this work. Seriously, when do you think I’ll see that trailer again?? Show less

This is a wonderful travel trailer. Small for a couple with pets. Love the quality, and towability. Customer service is wonderful. Love the outdoor fridge on this model. Grand Design needs to make more with outdoor kitchens with fridges that are not bunk houses. Show less

The MK 2670 has a good floor plan with lots storage. We bought is specifically for the great kitchen design. Our issue has been with the kitchen slide. We had it worked on while it was still under warranty and within a few months it was not working again. It is out of alignment vertically. We attempted to have it repaired again and were told we should try to learn to live with it because even if they repaired it, it would probably break again due to the poor design. It will go in and out, but it won’t go all the way. When the slide is out, there is a gap of 2-3 inches at the bottom. When the slide is in, the same thing happens at the top. Very frustrating!! Grand Design advertises a four-season trailer with a dedicated heat duct in the fully-enclosed insulated underbelly. During a camping trip, daytime temperatures were in the 50s and during the night temperatures dropped into the upper 20s. That night our water froze in the bathroom (shower, lavatory and commode) with the furnace running and maintaining a temp around 70 in the camper. Contacted Grand Design and was told that their advertised information would not be honored. Their customer service is a joke. The managers are not knowledgeable about their products but have numerous lame excuses why they won't admit a possible error during manufacturing my rv. Do not buy a Grand Design product! Show less

We just spent $100,000 on a Grand Design Imagine 3210BH just a few months ago. I love the floor plan, the space and storage but that's about all that is good about it. We have had nothing but issues. 1. Outside water tap leaks 2. Septic valve leaks 3. Panel is faulty and Bluetooth doesn't work (the main reason I bought the trailer). I love the accessibility of controlling the trailer through your phone but NO! Ours doesn't work. Even after getting it replaced it doesn't work. 4. Door lock broke. Key just free spins and we had to break into our own trailer. 5. Window screen was not installed properly and broke. 6. Seam covers keep coming off. 7. TV mount installed crooked and screws were stripped. 8. Window covering was installed very off. Only covered 80% of the window. 9. Hot water has already failed. Both gas and electric options don't work. 10. Frame under master bed where you lift up to access storage, is loose and screws are sticking out everywhere. 11. The fender was cracked from screws being tightened too hard. I would not recommend this trailer to anyone. After spending $100,000, you would think it would be better quality than this. NOT HAPPY! I have a 2018 Grand Design 2800BH and have been dealing with a delaminating wall issue since early 2020.I have had to deal with a few different people at Grand Design and have not found a suitable option to fix this issue. The option for us to get the unit to them on our cost is not good enough, I need someone there to help come up with better option to fix this that doesn't cost me over$6000 in shipping charges alone. The wall is now delaminating all the way down from the top corner down to the bottom, to the point where I can push on the loose fiberglass and clearly see it moving from the glue letting go and I and now scared to even use the RV or pull it anywhere for fear it may get worse and worse as we drive. This wall issue has caused so much stress for us and has really taken the joy and excitement out of the camping and RV owning experience, I cannot afford to ship it to you, I cannot sell or even trade the trailer in the way it is and now don't want to use it for risk of the wall delamination getting worse. I assumed that Grand Design set out to build quality rv's and that's why we chose Grand Design and we love this trailer but I really need you guys to help me make this right. The wall should not be coming apart after minimal use. I am hoping there are some options we can agree upon. I know Grand Design is known for top notch service which was a huge deciding factor for us and we want to be able to rant and rave about the amazing service and products from grand design but we really need some help on repairing this issue. Upon taking delivery of the new trailer in 2021 doors wouldn’t stay shut going down road. Water leaks trim falling off awning leaks refrigerator not working ac not functioning properly furnace cycles constantly Lost electrical inside Dealer couldn’t get to us till august for repairs so year one then year two went by problem kept coming up not done then finally year 3 refrigerator repaired. There are still some things not done. Our selling dealer greenway totally sold us a bill of goods of untruths. Had to go find another dealer to do repairs. All this time we couldn’t use couldn’t sell in the condition it was in. Show less

Every trip a new experience. One problem after another. Dealers always backed up 3 months or more for repairs that never get done. Grand design customer service NEVER calls you back. Flimsy cheaply built unit from bumper to bumper. Toilet empties halfway even tilted on its side hot water heater inop sliding door fell off molding popping all over if not not perfectly level entrance door won’t open or close 2 hoses popped off while camping flooding camper floor and underbelly…. The list goes on. Dont buy one. Winnebago owns them? Hmmm Show less
