I recently purchased a brand new 2016 Forest River Stealth Evo. While doing the walk through I noticed a damaged ridge cap that runs along the edges and seams of the trailer. After pointing that out to one of the employees, they encouraged me to point out other imperfections so they can fix them as well. The gentlemen with the dealership grabbed a ladder so him and I can go on the roof for further inspections. I basically went crazy pointing out a handful of seams to be re caulked...I figured why not if they offered. I had to leave the trailer there for about a month and a half because I was not ready to haul it off quite yet. A couple weeks later I ran back to my trailer to grab just the propane tank and noticed the ridge cap/seam was STILL not fixed. About a month or so later I was finally ready to haul off my trailer so I gave Toscano RV a call and made sure that the ridge cap/seam was fixed so there was no setbacks when I arrived. I was told the damage was fixed...there idea of fixing it was smearing caulk in it when they should've replaced the whole edge! I stayed in my trailer approximately 8 times when I was hit with a little bit of rain and wind in Oroville CA. The next morning I noticed MULTIPLE LEAKS! Im convinced this unit leaked through the whole crazy winter we had!! on top of that it was re caulked before I hauled it off!! $20,000 unit and they want to "fix" my brand new trailer and "make it right"...I want a fresh one without any leaks. They were told TWICE to fix it and then followed up with terrible repairs. Thats how they treat locals.
